Ok, so the picture is long overdue but
here is the lathe sitting in its semi-permanent location in the garage.
I fabricated a stand from c-channel and built a three drawer cabinet for
tooling. The drawers are on full extension drawer slides. It looks a
little strange since the final drawer fronts aren't in place yet. I'll
install the fronts when I get some time to turn some nifty drawer pulls. Click here for a smaller picture. |

Another shot of the stand to see the basic construction. I am happy with the way the stand turned out and the c-channel adds plenty of mass. I'll add an anti-fatigue mat soon as well. My mini mill is scheduled to be delivered tonight so the machining area of the garage is filling in nicely. I fabricated a stand for my surface plate over the weekend. The mill will probably use the stand as a temporary home while I fabricate a stand for it. Pictures soon... |

Just a placeholder picture from the catalog. I've had my lathe for a few months and so far have just been tuning it up. I have machined a few small parts for work. I'm looking forward to making lots of chips. |
